Homes Are Chaos Without A Head

Sin destroys relationships.  Once Eve defied her husband's leadership, took control, and ate the apple, sin infected everything.  It destroyed relationships between mothers and their children, "I will greatly multiply thy sorrow and thy conception; in sorrow thou shalt bring forth children"{Genesis 3:16}.  Most women do not enjoy raising children.  Many children are difficult and rebellious.  This is why older women are commanded to teach young women to love their children which includes disciplining them.

Sin destroyed marriages.  "And thy desire shall be to thy husband and he shall rule over thee"{Genesis 3:16}.  There is no way this means wives will desire their husbands sexually for that would not be a  curse.  In fact, husbands would love that!  Before sin, Eve desired her husband sexually. The only time the word 'desire' is used in the Penatuch, the first five books of the Bible, is in Genesis 4:7 and refers to sin's desire to control.

Sin put enmity between the wife and husband.  Throughout the centuries, wives have had the desire to control their husbands and be rebellious.  Husbands, because of sin, want to lord it over their wives in an evil and unloving way.  They are the stronger ones and in many eras and cultures, women have been physically and sexually abused by men.

This is the result of sin and the curse.  The farther away people walk from God, the more sin will infect them.  Children will grow up to be rebellious and hate their parents.  Wives will be rebellious and seek to control their husbands and husbands will try to lord it over their rebellious wives.

But God...He sent Christ who lived a sinless life, was crucified on a cross to bear the punishment of our sin and take away the sting of death.  We are now new creatures in Christ.  He makes everything new.

Now, we wives can be saved* through childbearing if we live godly lives {II Timothy 2:15}.  We will raise our children in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord.  We will discipline our children and teach them self-control.  We can raise godly offspring that bring joy and happiness into our lives.

We can be gentle and submissive to our husbands.  We can allow them to lead, respecting and honoring them in everything.  They will be the head of our home.  Our husbands will be godly leaders who seek the best for his family.  He will be our provider and protector.  He will love his wife and children and there will be peace in the home.

Homes where there is a head and Christ as its center have peace.  When we love God and seek to obey Him, we nullify the terrible effects of the curse.

Praise God He made a new way for us!!!  It is good.  His ways are NOT bad.  The world's ways are bad and lead to destruction.  Believe God at His word and do things His way and you won't believe the blessings that will flow from your life.

*I believe this means she will be saved from the effects from sin if she lives a godly life.  She will have a strong marriage, children who walk in Truth, etc.
