Think Biblically and Pray Scripturally

Most of us want God's will in our life. Many people wonder how to find it so they go to counselors, and ask friends and family for advice. Voddie Baucham disagrees with this method of finding God's will for your life. His method is to read your Bible and think biblically {"Be transformed by the renewing of your mind!"}, pray scripturally, then seek counsel from those who read their Bible and pray. If in doubt, repeat!

God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. One woman commented on one of my posts that she sought advice for going back to work after having a baby. She was counseled by her pastor and others that since the Bible does not say it is not wrong for a woman to leave her baby for hours every day and seek employment outside of her home, it must be okay.

This woman did not go to the Bible, think biblically, or pray scripturally, in my opinion. The Bible is very clear that mothers are to be keepers at home, guide the home, look well to the ways of her home, and teach and train our children in the ways of the Lord as we stand up, sit down, fight, fight, fight! {Against the spiritual forces, of course.}

I am not sure how the Lord could have been more clear where He wants women who are raising children. I have seen FAR too many children walk away from the Lord who had mothers who worked or mothers who didn't train and discipline them in the ways of the Lord. It is way too high of a price to pay, if you ask me.

Voddie is bold about saying that we should NOT be putting our children in government run institutions for 14,000 hours of their lives {K through 12th grade} which are anti-Christian by government mandate. We are called to train and teach our children. Us! No one else. God gave those children to us to raise in the nurture and the admonition of the Lord. Sending them to public schools is very, very risky to their eternal destination.

Women, think carefully your path. God's ways are clearly spelled out in Scripture. The way we are to live our lives is no guessing game. It doesn't change with the decade or society. It always stays the same. ALWAYS! His ways are good. They are right. Walk in them. Be in His Word daily. Know His ways. Obey His ways. In this way, you adorn the Gospel of our Lord. People should look at us and know we are different and hopefully, lead them to the cross. We don't look and act like the world. We are set apart and holy for Him. He loves us. His ways are good, very, very, good.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
